The purpose of my "Eighth Circle" is to remedy this. I just want to play the opening with confidence. I often miss some variations in the later levels.<BR/><BR/>Studying openings is not a bad way to spend one's time. Why would it be ok to study in depth some tactical position or motif that may never occur in your games, but not ok to study a position you know will occur in every game? I think studying openings gets a bad rap because so many people do it the wrong way.
